You don't have to choose between your home number and our eSIM. Phones built after 2018 can run both simultaneously — your home line for calls and texts, Telekonek for data.
The setup you want
- Home SIM: voice + SMS (so 2FA codes, WhatsApp verification, bank texts keep arriving)
- Telekonek eSIM: cellular data (so you use local network rates, not roaming)
This is the dual-SIM travel mode every travel guide recommends.
On iPhone
Settings → Cellular:
- Default Voice Line → home
- Cellular Data → Telekonek
- iMessage / FaceTime → home
- Data Roaming on Telekonek → ON
- Data Roaming on home → OFF (this is what stops the roaming bill)
On Android
Settings → SIMs:
- Calls → home
- SMS → home
- Mobile data → Telekonek
- Roaming on Telekonek → ON
- Roaming on home → OFF
What about iMessage and WhatsApp?
Both work over data — they don't care which line is "primary". They'll route through Telekonek's data, but messages still come into your home number. Recipients see your home number when you text them.
